Fortis Industrial Equipment Ltd is our business. 4K Systems is our trading style.

[columnize][dropcap]W[/dropcap]e were inspired by the Latin meaning, literally ‘strong’ when coming up with the name, but felt a more succinct and more familiar term might serve us better.

Our focus is also on four key areas of business – Rental, Storage, Consultancy & Maintenance – and our culture-change programme has four crucial steps.

We are a privately-owned materials handling & storage equipment supplier with offices in Bristol and Southampton, from here we cover an area from Worcester to the Solent.

Our expertise is built on experience and crucial to our way of working is asking the right questions.

We are experts in the identification of ways to improve the transportation, access and storage of goods and we have helped literally hundreds of businesses to exploit the latest technologies, and get the cost savings and equipment innovations usually reserved for only the largest industries.

We don’t mind telling people how good we are (because we back up our story with action and results), but elsewhere on this site you may find some of our customers and friends telling you how we’ve helped them to become better businesses.

We beleive that gone are the days when transport and storage are distinct entities. Today, businesses need to be integrated; designed to carry minimal stock and respond in the shortest time.

We’ve applied the same principles to materials handling and storage. Our aim is to take a holistic approach to your materials flow, offering impartial advice, excellent aftercare and superb service.

We work without restrictive ties and we are ideally placed to provide low cost equipment that meets your needs.

We’ve helped hundreds of businesses to exploit the latest technologies, and get the cost savings and equipment innovations usually reserved for only the largest industries.

From a traditional brickworks, to a well established metals business; a specialised medical supplier or a new start up food company, we’ve helped all kinds to improve their materials flow.
[blockquote cite=”Gary Kenna, Director, Only Natural Products” type=”center”]We employed 4K Systems to fit out our new £1.2m, 11,000 sq ft Production and distribution centre in Gloucester. Their invaluable knowledge and the contacts provided ensured that the work was carried out to an extremely high standard specification whilst working to the budgeted costs.[/blockquote]

Our expertise is built on experience and crucial to our way of working is asking all the right questions. We are experts in the identification of ways to improve the transportation, access and storage of goods.

We can provide temporary equipment to relieve a short-term need, and source the right equipment for you at the most competitive rates. We’ll even oversee its maintenance.
It’s the power of four key disciplines -that makes us uniquely qualified to help your business.[/columnize]

We employ zero service engineers. Running a team of engineers, however large or small, can have its limitations. That’s why back in 2007 we started to out-source service support for our Hampshire fleet. It proved so successful that we decided to out-source all of out maintenance from 2010 onwards. Since that time our customers have experienced; quicker response times, improved uptime and lower costs. It’s certainly a different approach – one we don’t shy away from [/content_band]
